Nature For Health (NFH) is an international organization aimed at promoting the relationship between nature and health. NFH is convinced that nature and natural interventions help us to improve the quality of life with a reduction in healthcare costs. To determine how we can actually apply green and nature in such a way that it optimally contributes to the mental and physical well-being of people, the foundation encourages both research and realization in practice.

Chairman of the “Biodiversity Works” Steering Group NWO (The Dutch Research Council) and Ministries of Economic Affairs / Agriculture, Nature Management and Food Quality (LNV).
The “Biodiversity Works” Research Program started in 2010 and closed in 2018. It was funded by the Ministry of LNV (€ 1.25 million) and NWO € 2.4 million. It included fourteen projects, eight PhD students and six postdocs. The programme focussed on three themes: dynamic nature, ecosystem services and spatial scarcity. Each project involved one or more stakeholders / end users from the application. The Steering Committee was the decision-making body.

In particular, I was responsible for EU coordination, including Natura 2000, Eastern and Central Europe Nature Management Program, Pan-European Ecological Network, International Nature Management Program, and the Government’s policy on Tropical Rainforest and wetlands of international importance.
I am Rob Wolters, inspirator, connector and manager, and have been working passionately for several decades on shaping new social and economic paradigms, connections, innovations and partnerships, in which nature and sustainability are central. Both nationally and internationally.
